Supports Living Paintings' free lending library of "living books": specialist 3D, tactile and audio productions of popular children's books that let blind and visually impaired children immerse themselves in the story. It costs around £120 a year to give one child access to the service, so this grant opens it up to many more children.

Supports Challengers' Guildford Playscheme, providing safe, inclusive play and social opportunities for disabled children and young people, many with complex needs. The service reduces isolation, builds confidence and independence, and gives families essential respite, knowing their child is safe, supported and accepted exactly as they are, regardless of the family's financial circumstances.

Funds two Changemaker Challenge experiences for 30 to 40 young people from disadvantaged communities, with nine days of facilitator time bringing organisations together to mentor, engage and advise, opening the doorway to better careers and a stronger start. Verizon UK are match-funding the Better Tomorrow Trust grant, doubling its reach.

Funds a full year of specialist Therapy Programme support for two children with disabilities and additional needs. Each child receives a personalised programme designed around their individual strengths, needs and goals. Families gain practical strategies, knowledge and confidence to support their child's development at home and advocate for the support they need – helping the children make progress in mobility, communication and independence.

Restricted to the care delivered by the nurses and healthcare assistants of the Fair Havens Community Team, who provide specialist end-of-life care to people in their own homes. With hospice costs and patient numbers rising while government funding stays at around 14%, Fair Havens relies on donations for the majority of its income – so this grant directly funds frontline community care for patients and their families at the hardest of times.

Supports the GOSH Play Team over the Christmas period and beyond. Specialised play helps children understand their healthcare needs and take some control of their journey through trust and advocacy: Play Specialists prepare children for procedures, provide distraction during treatment, and run post-procedural therapeutic activities. The team supports the whole family – especially siblings – and brings entertainers and festive activities to the children's wards, helping between 200 and 300 children every day to have their best possible tomorrow, even in hospital at Christmas.

Funds a full year of Brainwave's therapy services for two children with disabilities and additional needs, towards the operational cost of their care – around £3,500–£4,000 per child each year covers the range of physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech & language support, plus practical training so families can continue the work at home. Brainwave's CEO confirmed the funds were applied to the agreed programme.

For St Joseph's Hospice, Hackney: £1,000 funds mobility equipment such as walking aids and gym equipment that helps patients stay independent for as long as possible, and £1,000 supports the physiotherapy service – an assessment by one of the hospice's physios followed by six sessions of tailored rehabilitation – so patients with advanced illness can live as fully and independently as possible.

Funds an NSPCC Schools Coordinator – a named contact who manages a team of volunteers covering every primary school in the local area, so the Schools Service can reach every child in the region and teach them how to stay safe from abuse. The grant covers around 12% of the service's £41,419 annual running cost.

Contributes directly to Dr Jun Ishihara's research at Imperial College London, developing a new type of immunotherapy treatment for osteosarcoma – an aggressive bone cancer that most often affects children and young people. Sarcoma UK confirms exactly how the funds are applied to this specific project.
